The basis of the daily Nepalese menu is daal bhat. Daal is aromatic lentil soup, bhat is rice. Bhat can be replaced by roti or naan - handmade flatbreads. The set always includes tarkari - vegetable curry or masu - meat curry. As a side dish, achar is usually served - very spicy pickles, which are great for whetting the appetite, or raita based on natural yoghurt to soften the spiciness of the food.

You often ask us: which dishes on the menu are typical Nepalese specialties? You can compose the traditional daal bhat set yourself from your favorite main dishes and side dishes, enriching it with Achar (Salads category) prepared by us.
